MHADA Mumbai Lottery 2026: What Winners and Applicants Should Do Next

MHADA's Mumbai board held its 2026 lottery draw on 6 August 2026 for 2,640 homes. It received about 97,613 applications between 30 March and 28 May 2026.

The 2026 draw at a glance

  • Homes across Vikhroli, Goregaon, Borivali, Gorai, Chembur, Bandra, Ghatkopar, Wadala, Powai, Dadar and other areas.
  • Categories: EWS, LIG, MIG and HIG.
  • About two-thirds of the homes (around 1,762) were reported as under construction.
  • Reported prices ranged from about Rs 29 lakh for EWS homes in Mankhurd to about Rs 6.82 crore for an HIG home in Tardeo.

If you won

  1. Check the result only on MHADA's official website. Ignore calls or messages offering to speed up allotment for a fee.
  2. Keep your eligibility documents ready: income proof for your category, domicile and identity documents, as specified for your scheme.
  3. Plan the payment schedule and any home loan early. MHADA sets the timelines.
  4. For under-construction homes, understand the expected completion date and plan where you'll live until then.
  5. Read the resale and transfer conditions. MHADA homes can carry restrictions on selling or renting for a period. Check your allotment terms before planning to rent it out.
Verify everything on MHADA's official site. Anyone offering a faster allotment for money is a red flag.

If you didn't win

  • Keep your documents updated for the next lottery.
  • Compare the price you applied at with similar resale homes nearby. Sometimes a resale flat in the same area is within reach.
  • Consider renting in the area you want while you wait for the next draw.

Watch out for scams

Lottery seasons attract fraud. MHADA results are published officially. No agent can change a result or get you a flat outside the draw.
